Halberstadt Cl.II zdobyty przez powstańców wielkopolskich na Ławicy w styczniu
1919. Samolot został zmontowany, zmodyfikowany, oznaczony poznańskim kodem 201/18
i służył później w 3 Esk. Wlkp w czasie wojny z sowietami. Niestety w czasie
lotu bojowego 14 maja 1920 został zestrzelony przez sowiecki myśliwiec Ni.24bis.
Załoga Władysław Bartkowiak i Józef Klicze zginęła.
The
model Halberstadt Cl.II,
the aircraft captured at Poznań-Ławica by insurgents
in Jan 1919, assembled, modified and given the Polish number 201/18. It later
served with 3 Great Poland Squadron (Esk Wlkp) in the war against Soviets. Unfortunately during the
strafing raid on May 14th 1920 shot down in flames by a Russian Ni24bis, the
crew Władysław Bartkowiak
and Józef Klicze losing their lives.
